Over the… read more course of our two hours he worked on correcting my balance and turns. This taught me to turn more smoothly and fluidly, thus improving confidence and speed particularly on steeper pistes. Mike’s instruction to me was clear, simplified and friendly.

  Last week I had two 3 hour lessons with James and one with Mike. I had only ever been on skis for a couple of hours at an indoor slope… read more in the UK before heading to Morzine. By the end of my first lesson, James had me getting down sections of blue runs and beginning parallel turns. By the end of the week, I was getting down blues happily with my family, which was everything I wanted from the week.

Each progression felt natural and an organic evolution versus a scary next step. They used lots of useful analogies and some brilliant exercises to help me connect with their instructions. If one way of explaining it wasn’t clicking, they had other ways of tackling the problem. Both struck the right balance between patient and stern with me when my nerves kicked in! Equally importantly they are top blokes and a pleasure to spend time with on a chair lift.

Thank you James and Mike. You made the whole experience of learning to ski in the latter part of my fourth decade fantastic. Turns out that the right teachers can teach an old dog new tricks!
